Join the ISC on a trip to Scotland's 3rd largest city. Aberdeen is a port city in Northeast Scotland, with a very busy harbor. It is a city of ancient cathedrals, plenty museums and art galleries, beautiful parks and gardens, and great shopping opportunities!
We will also visit Dunnottar Castle, which has been called the most dramatic historical site in Scotland and has served as inspiration for Pixar's popular animated film Brave. Dunnottar boasts amazing castle rock, is surrounded on three sides by the North Sea and is accessed only by a narrow bit of land with a steep, stone-cut path leading to the top of the rock. For over 1000 years it played a crucial role in Scottish history and has housed some of the nation's greatest historical figures: Constantine mac Aed, Sigurd the Mighty, William Wallace, Mary Queen of Scots, and the Marquis of Montrose!
