ESNcard

The ESNcard is the membership card of the Erasmus Student Network and hence ESN Edinburgh. While you do not need to be a member of ESN Edinburgh to join our events and trips, it functions nevertheless as a discount card and proof of membership of ESN Edinburgh and the network of ESN.

The ESNcard is only valid for 12 months after the activation date with a photo and the correct personal information of the cardholder. The card is strictly personal and cannot be used by anyone else other than the cardholder specified on the ESNcard.

The ESNcard is also used as a discount card in different places around Edinburgh, the United Kingdom, and Europe.

Who is eligible for an ESNcard?

You can get an ESNcard if you are a student at the University of Edinburgh, Napier University, Heriot-Watt University, and Queen Margaret University Edinburgh and are not a UK citizen. You can buy your ESNcard for £10 on the webpage of the Edinburgh University Student Association. The processing time can take between one and two weeks. If you cannot find any cards on our EUSA website, all ESNcards are unfortunately sold out.

How can I get an ESNcard from ESN Edinburgh?

1. Buy the card on EUSA. Check whether you have received a purchase confirmation.

2. Wait until you receive an email with a link to a Google Form from us. Check your spam folders as well. This may take between 1-2 weeks.

3. Fill out the Google Form.

4. Wait until you receive your digital card code. This may take up to 1 week. All international discounts are accessible by using the digital card code. There is no need for a physical card, and you can pick the card up after arrival.

5. ​Pick up your ESNcard either at an ESN Edinburgh event OR by reaching out to us on Facebook, Instagram, or by email!

6. Add a passport picture of yourself on your ESNcard (it can be printed on regular paper) and fill out all personal details.

7. Register it on ESNcard.org.
