The Holy Island of Lindisfarne is both an island and a picturesque village. The Holy Island is filled with history and adventure between its tidal walls. Berwick upon Tweed sits at the most northerly tip of Northumberland, just 3 miles from the Scottish Border. Captured and sacked 13 times before finally falling into English hands in 1482. It is a coastal town with four sandy beaches and beautiful riverside walks. Explore Berwick's history by visiting museums, get inspired by exhibitions in the town's fantastic galleries, enjoy one of Berwick's parks, and walk the complete circuit, taking in spectacular views across the River Tweed estuary and Berwick’s three bridges.
